Are You A Stacy?

What separates the top 10% from the just 'above average'?

we've all seen people who are beautiful but have flaws. even stacies have flaws. But what separates the above average from the elite?

How many bad features can you get away with? What facial harmony do you need to balance them out?

In this post i will explain what i think makes someone a stacy. if you have a legitimate argument against something in this post- please comment below. I'm still trying to figure out what makes a stacy and what doesn't.

1. Well defined facial structure

Flat cheekbones/jaw drag the face down and make it look older. Plainer too maybe.

You can be beautiful and have flat features. You can have a thin nose, big beautiful eyes and full lips. but you won't cross over into stacy territory.

lets see what Kim K would look like with flat cheekbones and a soft jaw.

Although she's still beautiful, it really takes away the "wow" factor. which is what gets you from high tier becky to stacy or stacylite.

having a well defined cheek and jaw structure is essential to being a stacy.

2. Short midface?

The Victoria's Secret model Jasmine Tookes has a long midface. so it's hard for me to say that a long midface is cut and dry what keeps you from being a stacy.

however what matters more is the facial triangle and your bone structure. Notice how her eyeshadow wings out and elongates her eyes? this is part of what makes a long midface more attractive.

you can get away with it if your eyes and mouth are wider.

For example: here's Bella Hadid with closer set eyes and eyebrows. It really throws off her facial harmony.

Notice also how they've winged out her eyelashes to extend her eyes and make them longer, and how her eyebrows are wider set too.

This is because of the facial triangle.

...Or maybe I should call it a trapezoid?

But basically it's the length from the brows to the bottom of the lips,

The width of the eyebrows and the width of the mouth.

Lots of other things come into play, but for now we're going to focus on this.

Notice that the triangle is narrower?

There was a study done on attractiveness, and it was found that the length of the midface and width of the interpupilary distance determined how attractive someone was. The ideal length/width ratio has 2 ½ inches of distance between the eyes and another 2 ½ inches between her pupils and mouth.

although there are specific measurments given here- the idea is that the width can also balance out the length. so making your features look wider will take away the focus from your long midface and give your face more harmony.

3. small philtrum

I'm not even going to come up with an argument for this one.

for those who don't know: philtrum = space from lip to nose.

4. Small Lower Third

here's a fun game: try to guess which photo is edited.

hint: it's the one on the right.

memes aside, a big lower third can really throw off your face. in most victoria's secret models, they have a short lower third.

Here's Jennifer Anniston with a shorter lower third. the problem is that most of it is her chin, so it's kind of hard to show. I haven't been able to find someone with a longer lower third to show this on (except for maybe Tati)

5. Angel skull

an angel skull is defined by a forward projected lower third, a high cranio-facial ratio and an upturned nose.
